So I found this color wheel on this website. This guy had made rough code for automatically categorizing the products of a shoe store's website by color. I basically thought that was amazing, since I code by copying and pasting. I hope to use this color wheel to alter the colors of the neopixels!
So obviously when Audrey touched my computer everything magically made sense. She found strandtest_brightness in the examples, did some stuff to the code and the program was able to control individual lights! Also, she drew a perfect circle.
I don't undertand any of this code. So many errors.... :'(
I have been sitting in my dorm room for an hour randomly copying and pasting just so that I can simply light up the LEDS. All the sample code is in the form of demo packs, which somehow magically does really cool fading and color changes. But when I try to isolate aspects of the code just to simply light up the LEDs without a button, I get errors and I have no idea what any of it means. I somehow got the LED light strip to light up! I replaced the SquareWear2 folder and added the neopixel file into my libraries. Then I found new code called demopack_eeprom in the examples. Don't let this fool you, I have no idea what the code means or how it can be modified. Shani and Nikki spent the duration of TA hours trying to explain this to me...
I made this blog!!! So much progress... I had to openly admit to the class today my total lack of advancements on this project so far. But we got the color LED strips from Ray's Hobby, so that was exciting! Here's what they look like: They look so much better actually lit up on his website...I should probably figure out how to do that...
